Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter (born July 23 1970) is an American actor from America. She portrayed Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also appeared in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012 strong>
Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada the daughter of Christine Carpenter, who was a bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is of Spanish, French, and German origin (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. [6] Carpenter was also a member of the group of dancers and song-makers which was throughout the Las Vegas Valley when Carpenter was just nine years old.
Carpenter relocated her family from Rosarito Beach, Baja California to Mexico at the age of 15 years old. They then moved to San Diego to California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. [2][failed verification] Following graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor, and property management. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992 she moved to Los Angeles.
In the water in San Diego in 1991, she and two male acquaintances were slain by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them using a gun. Both Hubbard Jr. as well as her companions were killed in the fight. They both survived. Hubbard was detained, found guilty, and sentenced to 56 years in prison for a string of rapes and robberies. Carpenter grabbed Hubbard's flashlight one of the police's flashlights, from the beach. He left it on the beach. The flashlight proved to be crucial evidence in the case against Hubbard.
Carpenter was named No. Carpenter was ranked No. 31 on AskMen's top 99 Desirable Women 2002[3030. 44 on their 2005 ranking. Carpenter stated that she does not consider herself to be the most sexy of icons despite this. Carpenter was featured on the cover of Playboy magazine's June 2004 issue. She was also featured in a ten page nude pictorial. When she was asked by People magazine in 2005 whether she would ever do Playboy again, she said, "I don't know. I signed up for Playboy for a very specific reason. It was a smart financial choice. I also believed it was the best choice for me. My son was only born and I had gained 50 pounds through pregnancy. I wanted to go back to my previous self. I wanted to feel desirable and attractive. I thought: "What if you went completely sexy?"
