Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took, she was ranked second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium throughout her events during the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
